For the past 55 years the Sweetwater Jaycees have hosted the World’s Largest Rattlesnake Round Up on the 2nd week end in March. Thousands of tourists visit Sweetwater to see the snakes and possibly sample some deep fried rattlesnake.  For past 35 years the Blue Goose Ranch has hosted snake hunts for family, friends, friends of family, family of friends, film crews, and some ex strangers.

This year’s “Blue Goose Hunting Team” consists of hunters from Oklahoma City, Hennessey, Comanche Lamont, (Okla), Arlington, Ft Worth, Houston, New Braunfels,  Lubbock, Midland, Kemah, (Texas) Oswego (Kan) as well as some from Memphis, Tennessee(?).

This snake hunting requires keeping the body well hydrated.
